The news is REAL. BELIEVE IT!!

Peter Bernstein writes in ” Against the Gods.. The Story of Risk” that most people make desisions on only 10% of available information. I am a big believer on what I read in the news and being a microcosm of the whole story involving what is going on with a company or industry etc. I used to work in a strategy group. Being that it was a large public company some of the news going on inside the company ended up in the news especially the Journal. It was pretty dead on. The bottom line. Don’t read everything you read, but ignore it at your investment peril.

Content is King and Stocks are Stories

Why get an MBA or PHD in Mathematics if you can barely beat the indexes. The bottom line is stocks are stories and content is king. Until they realize that don’t expect stellare returns.
