Recommendation: Equinix A Buy Based on Growing Server Facilities Building
Analysis: I was at a party recently where a person who worked for one of the big software companies remarked how with the growth of the internet new servers were being built all the time and they needed massive air conditioning systems to cool the energy. I had completely forgot about it until I was reading the Economist today where they in an article mentioned pretty much the same thing. In doing some analysis I came across a Fortune story in 2006 referencing a company called Equinix. Apparently, this company, while not making the air conditioning systems, provides the actual sites where servers are stored and maintained.
Prediction: The stock trading at 61.15 is up nearly 2,000 since 2003. However, I believe it has a way to go. It will profit so long as the internet continues to grow and that is a given. I expect it to hit 80 by 12/31/2008.

Recommendation: Corning Is A Buy After New Diesel Technology Roll-Out
Analysis: Great story in today’s WSJ that goes into the history of the company and the huge potential it has for exploiting the environmental trend sweeping the nation. According to the article the company has a history of turning out new technologies time and time again and is not afraid to invest in R&D despite an economic downturn. The diesel filter promises to be a blockbuster. While competitors will almost certainty arise it has a head start and a quality brand name to back it up.
Prediction: The stock trading currently at 22.91 and a PE of 17 promises to rise to 42 by the end of 2009.
